Amaç pos ta kartın kendisini imzaya eşdeğer bir yöntemle doğrulayabilmesidir. SDA kartlarda her işlemde kullanılan imza aynıdır. DDA kartlarda ise her işleme özel bir imza kullanılmaktadır.
